2. Hosting & Infrastructure

Our website is hosted using Next.js and uses Supabase as a backend provider. When you access our site, standard server log files are processed, which may include your IP address, browser type, and time of access. This is technically necessary to ensure the stability and security of the website.

3. Analytics

To improve our service, we use the following analytics tools:

  • Google Analytics: This service uses cookies to analyze how you use our website. The information (including your IP address) is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We use IP anonymization to ensure your data remains private.
  • Next.js Analytics / Vercel Analytics: We use native Next.js analytics to monitor performance and site health. These tools are designed to respect user privacy and do not collect personally identifiable information.

4. YouTube Embeds

We embed videos from YouTube. When you visit a page with an embedded video, a connection to YouTube's servers is established. YouTube may set cookies and collect information about your browsing behavior if you are logged into your YouTube account. We use the "Enhanced Privacy Mode" (youtube-nocookie.com) wherever possible to minimize data collection.

While GUMDEX does not set its own first-party cookies for tracking or authentication, third-party services like Google Analytics and YouTube may set cookies to function correctly. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Under the GDPR (DSGVO), you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data stored by us (if any). Since we do not use accounts or store personal user data ourselves, our data processing is limited to technical logs and anonymized analytics.
